This button is made from a very hard nut, and is an eco friendly button! With a lovely creamy texture it is available in two sizes and different colours. Corozo nut buttons, also known as tagua buttons, or vegetable ivory, are sustainable and durable buttons made from the seeds of the tagua palm tree native to South America. They offer an eco-friendly alternative to plastic buttons, are biodegradable, and their production indirectly supports the preservation of the tagua palm's rainforest habitat. The buttons feature unique, fingerprint-like natural grain patterns and have a hard, resin-like consistency, making them a popular choice for high-quality garments. These buttons are tricky to dye well due to their hard impermeable surface, but these have been specially dyed in Italy to exacting standards. Once they are correctly dyed the depth of colour in these buttons is beautiful. Please note that as this is a natural product there will be variances in the grain seen.
