Frequently Asked Questions What animals can this panel contain? This light duty panel is best suited for smaller livestock including goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and similar animals. For cattle, horses, or larger/more aggressive animals, we recommend stepping up to our medium duty or heavy duty panel options. What is the difference between this and the medium duty panel? The light duty panel uses lighter gauge steel and is designed for smaller animals and temporary setups. The medium duty panel (also available at Purity Feed) uses heavier steel and a more robust connection system, making it better suited for cattle, horses, and more demanding containment applications. What is a J-leg panel?A J-leg panel has a J-shaped base that sits flat on the ground, providing stability without needing to be driven into the ground. This makes it ideal for hard, rocky, or frozen ground where spike-leg panels are difficult to install. How many panels do I need for a basic pen?For a small goat or sheep pen, 4–6 panels at 10 feet each (40–60’ perimeter) is a common starting point. For a larger sorting or holding pen, 8–12 panels are typical. Panels connect easily so you can expand as needed. Are volume discounts available?Yes — contact Purity Feed directly for volume pricing on larger panel orders. We’re happy to work with producers building out full corral systems. Why is this local pickup only?Due to the size and weight of steel panels, freight shipping is cost-prohibitive for most customers. Local pickup from our Kamloops, BC location ensures you get the best value. Contact us to discuss options for large orders.
