Builds on our earlier Corralitos vintages — taking learnings and a little carryover volume from 2019. The production philosophy lets each step proceed in accordance with nature. The heart of this vintage spent 12 months unsulfured and uninoculated in barrel, with a 2019 component that spent 24 months in barrel. Bottled unfiltered, then aged 22 months before disgorgement. We continue to build time into each step, letting this wine evolve in its natural time.Vineyards: Sourced exclusively from Corralitos in the Santa Cruz Mountains — sandy soils of decomposed marine sediment, with winds off Monterey Bay. This vintage blends three neighboring vineyards: Deer Park Ranch, La Vida Bella, and Francis J Vineyard.Winemaking: Whole-cluster pressed, clean juice barrel-fermented with native yeast, 12 months unsulfured on sediment. 22 months in bottle, light 3 g/L dosage. Cork and cage closure. Very limited.Blend: 64% Pinot Noir · 36% Chardonnay · Vintage: 2020 · 12.5% ABV · 1,714 bottles
