Corsair Artisan Gin is one of the few remaining gins produced using a gin-head (otherwise known as a carter head or vapor basket). With this method, the flavors and essential oils of the gin’s sustainably grown botanicals are gently extracted using vapor; this yields less bitterness than maceration and results in a more aromatic, cleaner tasting gin. The botanicals used for the Artisan Gin are an unusual mix of traditional and non-traditional aromatics, including juniper, coriander, citrus peels and hyssop. Balanced blend of citrus, juniper, cardamom and cucumber on the nose. Cucumber peel and Fareast spices coming through on the pallet with a hint of mint at the back.
