Supported by a custom welded steel stand this large cast glass “Cosmic Abalone” shows off its colors and transparency. The dichroic glass is like magic and changes colors through t he day and as the viewer moves by. A record size abalone measuring 10 inches was collected over a decade ago in California and with my series of mold techniques I am able to capture all the details of the shell and add some of my attributes as an artist.
