Dating back to the 19th century, this popular Italian tomato has long been a favorite for both canning and slicing. Costoluto Genovese's vigorous, indeterminate vines are steady pr oducers of flattened, deeply ribbed tomatoes with glossy, vibrant red skins. Uniquely shaped fruit have an intense, classic tomato flavor that is well-suited to sauce making. We especially like them for making roasted pasta sauce. A scientifically documented low-acid variety.
