Cotinus 'Dusky Maiden' is a deciduous shrub with a bushy habit. This shrub is known for its incredible display of colour throughout the seasons. Plumes of purple-pink flowers which resemble puffs of smoke are complemented by tiny of small yellow flowers which bloom on the gorgeous dark pink stems. The shrub also produces circular, rich, deep purple leaves which transform into fiery sunset tones of red and orange in the autumn. This shrub is an excellent choice for bringing a unique focal point to flower border. It is also slow growing, so would be suitable in a container within smaller gardens. Cotinus 'Dusky Maiden' thrives in full sun or partial shade within an exposed or sheltered environment. It is hardy and will grow in a variety of moist but well-drained soils.
