When I found a collection of fabric called Ruby by Bonnie & Camille, I instantly knew I wanted to use this new modern collection to make an old traditional quilt. I love the finish ed result. It looks like a quilt that made in the 1930's from grandma's old fabrics, however it is fresh and new. I used a very old traditional quilt block, and enlarge it to 15". I constructed the quilt in the same manor that they would have done 100 years ago. I created my template pieces from stiff cardboard, traced each of the pieces onto 14 different fabrics, and hand cut them apart. I loved this process, and the final result is timeless.
