Only a few drops are enough to induce an explosion that seems to linger on the palate forever.” Fragance start with humid forest and rich truffle aroma, then port wine and cedar wood, followed by spicy hints of hot fruit cake. Our ageing warehouses, with their humid conditions, develop over time, the exquisite aroma of truffles. The Hot Fruitcake notes are deliciously evocative, this aroma is born of the maturation of the very old Borderies grapes at their absolute peak During the long ageing process, the volume of cognac gradually reduces, making it more concentrated. This gives it the ‘rancio’ aroma – earthy and mushroomy.
