This decorative piece is formed from a smooth white stoneware, with sand . It is coil built, formed by layering hand-rolled coils of clay to shape the vessel gradually by hand. The inside is glazed in a thin, translucent but creamy, white. The outside is left unglazed so the piece retains the raw surface of the clay, allowing the material itself to remain the primary expression of form. A grounding sculptural object for a table, console, or open shelf. The Cove collection explores mass and void through grounded, substantial forms. Mostly solid exteriors are punctuated by a single central opening, while surfaces retain the organic marks of hand and process.
