A refined method of construction gives the design a pared-back aesthetic.///DescriptionThe lowe r shelf sits on the floor, grounding the design, while the two upper shelves almost appear to float. Cove has solid timber uprights and veneered shelves, and is made in either American Oak or American Walnut. Initially launched to critical acclaim in 2009, the SCP Boxed Collection challenged designers to create smaller-scale pieces that fit within the dimensions of a standard DHL international shipping box (480 x 400 x 390mm). More broadly, the aim was to design objects that could be easily carried out of a store or efficiently shipped via e-commerce. For 2025, SCP has revisited the Boxed Collection brief, inviting a mix of established designers and emerging talent to explore the concept once again. With no restrictions on material, the brief encourages a diverse range of product typologies, reflecting the evolving landscape of contemporary design. Show more
