CP-RETOUCH is CEDAR’s advanced spectral audio editing solution, designed to give users precise control over unwanted sounds and complex audio problems that traditional restoration tools often struggle to address. Originally developed from the groundbreaking spectral editing technology pioneered by CEDAR, it allows users to visually identify, isolate, and manipulate specific sounds within an audio recording. By working directly within a detailed spectrogram, users can target everything from distracting background noises to problematic audio events with exceptional accuracy. A standout aspect of CP-RETOUCH is its intelligent AI and machine learning capabilities. Instead of manually locating and treating every occurrence of a recurring issue, users can identify a single example and allow the software to find similar instances throughout the recording. This significantly reduces editing time while helping maintain consistency across large or complex projects. The result is a more efficient workflow for tackling repetitive noise, unwanted spill, vocal issues, and other challenging audio artifacts. Widely used in post production, audio restoration, archiving, forensic analysis, and podcast production, CP-RETOUCH is a powerful tool for anyone who needs detailed control over individual sounds within an audio file. Available as a standalone application and for Pro Tools AudioSuite workflows, it combines advanced processing with an intuitive visual approach, making it an invaluable solution when conventional editing and restoration methods are not enough.
