A wonderful small, rounded tree with oval leaves and clusters of pink-tinged white flowers in late spring that are followed by yellow-green fruit in early autumn. Growing Condition s:Prefers neutral or alkaline soils, but thrives in all fertile (including heavy) soils. Value To Wildlife:Early flowering so good for insects. Fruits good for a range of wildlife. Important Note:This is a deciduous tree and so will shed its leaves in autumn, in order to protect itself from the cold winter weather.
