This jumper was designed as a Christmas jumper for channel 4’s 2021 series of Kirstie’s handmade Christmas in the UK. As someone who has never owned a Christmas jumper I wanted som ething with a subtle nod to Christmas but that could be worn year round. A jumper shouldn’t just be for Christmas!This is so versatile with colours that it doesn’t even need to look festive and it’s also a great knit to use up scrap yarn on the stripes.Inspired by a pulled Christmas cracker I’ve used a striking chevron stitch to create its jagged hem. The sleeves were inspired by the making of snow balls dipping them in to snow.
