Our handmade wooden crackets are a simple, sturdy piece of traditional furniture with a long history. Traditionally used in cottages and farmhouses, crackets were also taken down i nto the coal mines in the North East, giving miners a small seat while they worked underground. Our four-legged wooden crackets were one of the first items we started making to help fund our work supporting people experiencing homelessness in the North East.
