Crane Axle’s 40-Spline Spindle Nut is precision machined in-house and heat treated for long term durability. Designed specifically for 40-spline axle assemblies, these spindle nuts provide the strength and reliability needed for high performance off-road applications. Our 40-spline spindle nut secures and sets the bearing preload on a 40-spline axle shaft, locking the assembly in place under extreme load. Each nut is engineered to handle greater torque than standard axle systems while maintaining a consistent bearing preload. Key Features: Precision Machined & Heat Treated for long term durability and strength Engineered for 40-Spline Spindles with a thicker wall and stronger design Internal & External Groove Design aligns with spindle keyway for secure locking Made & machined in USA by Crane Axle Function: The spindle nut threads onto the 40-spline spindle to set the correct bearing preload. Internal grooves align with a keyway on the spindle, and a dowel or roll pin passes through a keeper and the spindle to securely lock the assembly after the proper preload is achieved. Show more
