A wave breaking on the rocks with the Morris Island Lighthouse behind.This is the one frame here where I did the opposite of everything else. Instead of smoothing the water out wit h a long exposure, the shutter is fast enough to stop it dead, so the spray hangs as thousands of separate droplets — blown up and to the left, right across the middle of the picture. The lighthouse stands quiet on the far side with pink light behind it. The storm cloud sits dark on top of both.Violent in the foreground, calm in the distance.
