This piece was sold during the "Winter in the Whites" exhibition at The Gallery at WREN, 2011 Main Street, Bethlehem, New Hampshire, from February through March 2021. This beautiful, deep winter scene comes from a spot just where Crawford Brook descends from Mount Tom and passes Ammonoosuc Lake, just north of Crawford Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I painted it to capture the cold, blue nature of winter and the cold, blue depths of a stream that mirrors the chill of the air. Everything is blanketed and muffled by the snow and the silence seems to deepen as the sun sinks, flattening shadows and textures. 30 x 45 inch oil on canvas landscape painting gallery wrapped on 1" deep stretcher bars framed in a handmade pine float frame signed by the artist wired and ready to hang This painting was part of the New Hampshire Art Association's 34th Annual Omer T. Lassonde Juried Exhibition, and the 2020 "Gems and GIANTS" show at the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jeffersonville, Vermont.
