Buffalo make up the primary source o f milk and commonly for meat. These skins were procured after use in the meat market. Buffalo leather has 40% more tensile strength than cow. All are top grain, so scars and imperfections are visible, but have a beautiful texture. Veg tan are full skins. 2.2 to 2.4mm thickness (6-7 oz most common). Entire skins with a range from about 12 to 16 sqft. Crazy horse leather develops a patina as it ages-- becoming more beautiful with time.
