Product Description Fact Sheet Awards & Accolades When in 2002 Jean-Claude (JC) and Carolyn Martin took up the challenge of establishing a winery in a remote corner of the Walker B ay Wine Region, they did so with the courage of their conviction. The 40 hectares of undulating land on the lofty Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge had never been planted to vines before, but recognising the vast potential, they set out with tenacity and determination to transform it into a model wine farm. No easy feat, but then the Swiss-born JC and South African-born Carolyn (née Finlayson) both come from wine pioneering stock spanning at least three generations and two continents. In combining the rich gifts of nature and our unique terroir with the considerable skills of our dedicated team, Creation strives to reward the lover of fine wines. Dense, blue-black in colour with seductive hues of violet. The sumptuous berry bouquet tempts with generous blackberry and blackcurrant aromas against a background of smoky oak. The palate is in perfect harmony with the nose: taut and richly flavoured, with well-integrated tannins promising excellent maturation potential. A Bordeaux-style blend in the finest tradition. Currently the only Bordeaux-style blend grown and made in the Hemel-en-Aarde. Wonderful with game and red meat. Decant before serving. APELLATION: Walker Bay VARIETIES: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot HARVEST DATE: April 2018 ANALYSIS: Alc: 14.95 vol% T.A.: 5.9g/l, pH: 3.5, R.S:3.4g/l VINIFICATION:Traditional skin fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels.
