Katie invites you into her pottery studio to learn how to hand build your dream mug out of clay, she will show you different techniques on how you can customise and decorate your mug. Your mug will be glazed with a colour of your choice or you can glaze your mug on the day, it will be fired twice in the kiln, ready to collect 4-6 weeks later. You can make a boob mug in this class if you would like to. This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same. All of Katie's workshops are hand building classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. This means that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without having to practice for weeks on the wheel first. This workshop is suitable for ages 12+ When? Saturday June 13th, 10am-1pm Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi. What to bring? An apron if you have one. Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you.
