Alter, Mend & Restyle Workshop Give the clothes you already own a new life. In this practical two-hour workshop, you'll learn how to alter, mend and restyle your own garments so they fit better, feel more like you and can be worn and loved again. Bring along one or two garments you'd like help with — perhaps something that needs shortening, taking in, repairing or completely reimagining. You'll receive personalised guidance as you learn useful techniques you can continue using at home. Throughout the workshop you'll learn how to: Assess the fit and possibilities of a garment Complete simple alterations and repairs Mend holes, seams and damaged areas Shorten, reshape or adjust clothing Restyle an existing garment into something more wearable Build confidence working with your own clothes You'll take home: Your altered, mended or restyled garment(s), ready to wear again New sewing skills and the confidence to continue mending and altering at home Your workshop includes: Use of sewing machines, overlockers and studio equipment Guidance and hands-on support throughout Tea, coffee and light refreshments This workshop is perfect for beginner sewers and anyone wanting to create a more thoughtful, sustainable wardrobe.
