Shaped after the soft, irregular silhouette of a paper cup held a moment too long, these crinkle cups are made in Hyun Han Lee's studio in Icheon, one of Korea's most storied ceram ic cities. Each cup is finished in a bold, saturated glaze and built for daily use, carrying the ease of something familiar alongside the care of something handmade. Lee arrived at ceramics through an unconventional route, having studied philosophy in Germany before turning to the craft, and that outside perspective shows in work that feels unbound by tradition.
