With the right materials, crochet can create a stiff fabric, perfect for homewares like baskets. By changing the size of the base and the height of the sides you will be able to cu stomise your basket to be just the size you need. A big one for laundry, or a small one for pencils, and of course a basket for your crafting!In this one day class we will cover the basics of how to make a basket. The techniques we will cover are magic circle, crochet in the round, UK double crochet and V stitch. This class is suitable for beginners and those with some crochet experience. This class requires 1 skein of chunky weight cotton cord and a 9mm crochet hook. These supplies can be purchased from the mini mobile yarn shop on the day. I will also have a selection of appropriate yarns available on the day. Classes are held at Thirst Drinks Syndicate, Arch 23, Viaduct Road, Chelmsford CM1 61TS. It is in the railway arches under the Chelmsford train station, across from the bus stops.The space is accessible with step free entrance and an accessible toilet next to the teaching space.
