Crochet Snowflake WorkshopInstructor: Valerie Henderson Get into the Spirit of Winter with this fun 3 hour workshop and make your own GIANTsnowflake! Suitable for adventurous beginner crocheters to advanced crocheters who want a bit of holiday fun! During the workshop, students will work together and make their own snowflake from the pattern pack Giant Crochet Snowflakes by Anne Weil of Flax & Twine. We will then go over the blocking technique and get a little messy! Students will have learned the techniques and have enough supplies left to complete the remaining three patterns on their own. Materials needed: Giant Crochet Snowflakes by Anne Weil (purchase before class) 1 skein of dk weight yarn – recommended yarns are Cascade Ultra Pima, Flax & Twine Linen DK, Kelbourne Woolens Mojave, or Blue Sky Organic Cotton Sport. 4.5mm crochet hook T-pins or sewing pins Tapestry needle Scissors Removable stitch marker Blocking mat- minimum size of 12x12” 1 bottle of Aleene’s Fabric Stiffener & Draping Liquid (available online or at Michael's) Materials Provided: Cling Wrap Tape ***Yarn & materials needed for the workshop (with the exception of fabric stiffener) available for purchase at The Craftivist.
