Crocheted Ghost Illusion👻 Wednesday, October 14 | 6:00–8:00 PM Is it stripes…or is something hiding inside? Look straight on and you’ll see bold black-and-white stripes. Change your viewing angle and a ghost appears! Inspired by the viral illusion-knitting trend, this clever crochet version was created by Stitch & Revel customer Marissa. In class, she’ll teach you how to read the chart, line up your stitches, and create the texture that makes the hidden image appear. Once you understand the technique, you can use it to create so much more a bag, top, wall décor, pillow, and beyond! You’ll also get tips for applying the technique to other charts and begin exploring how to design an illusion project of your own. What You’ll Learn You’ll learn how to read and work the charted pattern, create the textured crochet technique that makes the illusion possible, change colors between black and white, and understand how the stitches work together to reveal the hidden ghost. Skill Level: IntermediateStudents should be comfortable with basic crochet stitches and working independently from a pattern, as well as working with color changes. Class Policies: At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming. We want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund. Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly. All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class. We are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everything in advance to ensure you’re fully prepared.
