This beautifully shaped warm elm desk is more in a Chinese concession or colonial style than Ming Chinese, but it still comes with plenty of oriental style. Two 'S' shaped legs cro ss at each end to form an elegant hourglass shape, while the rear legs are supported with two stretchers. A smoothed rattan inlay is set within the frame of the desk's work surface, making it more hard wearing for everyday use.
