ABOUT THE ART: This 20" x 20" oil on canvas captures the compelling contrast between the delicacy of raindrops and the expansive view beyond. Each drop on the window acts like a miniature lens, refracting and distorting the colors and forms behind it. The background unfolds with patches of deep greens suggesting leafy trees, soft blues that hint at a distant sky or water, and subtle yellow-orange highlights that evoke warm, fleeting light. The foreground is dominated by the rain-slicked glass, where water droplets streak and cluster, creating an interplay of motion and stillness. Getting to know DENNIS CRAYON Dennis Crayon Realist Contemporary Realism I’ve earn a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the State University of New York and later earned a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in painting. It was there that he began to learn classical painting. I later moved to Washington, D.C., and studied at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Maryland, fully delving into classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil. I am an active member of Washington, D.C.’s artistic community. My work has been shown locally and nationally.
