This CrossBox mounted Northern Lights Monolift Attachment offers a great cost-efficient alternative to expensive, full-scale Monolift units. Sold in pairs, these 1.35" thick metal hooks are designed with special counterweight handles at the top, so when you lift a barbell off the Monolift, the hooks will swing back toward the CrossBox unit and stay there. This will allow you to go straight into exercises such as squats, bench presses or shoulder presses without the need for walking the bar out from the CrossBox rack. Re-racking the weighted bar is just as simple, thanks largely in part to the slanted angle of the unloaded hooks that allow you to guide the bar in, swinging the Monolift back into its original starting position. The Monolift features two notches that give the user more control over the swing's range of motion. Controlling the swing's range of motion is simple, just insert the black pin into the top-notch to get a full range of motion or the second notch for a slightly more restricted range of motion. Restricting the swing has some definite advantages especially when doing the bench press because when it comes time to rack your bar after your bench set, it's close enough that you won't stress your muscles and potentially hurt yourself. Another great feature of the Northern Lights Monolift is that unlike most other Monolifts on the market today, the NL Monolift attaches to the posts via 2 orange Pin Inserts rather than bolts. So, moving from a squat to a pressing movement or vice versa is much easier and faster to accomplish than with other Monolifts that use bolts.
