Now, with Derek Sharp & The Champagne Jam, he’s spearheading a Power Pop revival, blending the genre’s signature hooks, harmonies, and heart with a fresh, modern edge. Drawing inspiration from legends like ELO, Badfinger, and the Raspberries, combined with the energy of Oasis and Coldplay, Sharp is proving that timeless melodies and unforgettable songs never fade—they evolve. Over the course of his career, Derek has collaborated with a wide range of legendary artists, including Red Rider, Jeff Healey, Alannah Myles, Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Alex Ligertwood (Santana), Ellis Hall (the Ambassador of Soul), Bobby Curtola, and Sass Jordan. His production, performance, and engineering credits are extensive.
