This is the ORIGINAL Foam & Rubber Tire break in tool for 1/10th scale rubber tires. This Crushinator 2.0 model comes with a “Stomper” wheel (under the decal in the picture) that is grooved to give added foam break in to save time and energy. Will work on any size tire/wheel assembly from 2.2" buggy up to SC truck. Utilizes a battery powered drill (not supplied) and tire break-in bit (not included, see below for link to tools) to soften the hard foams and condition the rubber on tires, achieving the desired "track-ready" feel without running the car on the track. This method enables you to have tires that are ready to run without the need for multiple practice runs typically required to break in the foams and condition the rubber to have maximum grip. Easy to use: Mount tire on mandrel (bit) and insert mandrel into drill. Adjust the wheel spacing by loosening wing nuts so that when tire is inserted between the three wheels the tire is being compressed. No need to make the tire fit very tight. With tire inserted in Crushinator, start drill to rotate tire (medium speed) in direction of tire rotation inside the Crushinator hard wheels. Generally, one to three minutes will be enough BUT varies with tire type and compound. Experimentation is key. After running tire in Crushinator, treat your tires with your tire sauce, and your tire is ready for your race. The key to tire conditioning is keeping copious notes of what you have done to create the best tire traction results! You will need a drill mandrel (also known as 'bit') to hold tire during 'crushing' process: AKA Tire Break-In tool HERE. JConcepts Tire Break-In Tool HERE. Gravity RC Tire Break-In Tool HERE.
