The remains of bauxite mining in the south west of Western Australia from the air looks beautiful. I shot this from around 1500m from a Cessna, hanging out an open door with nothin g between me and the ground but air. This abstract piece captures the mottled crust of the earth, challenging the viewer to identify what they are looking at. is it the bark of a tree? Is it the ground?
