Crypto Code is a military favorite for restricting access on ships. Since 2001, Crypto Code has been deployed on numerous DDG Class vessels. Acting as a barbarian at the gate, the Crypto Code shipboard system only allows passage to personnel who have the secret code. Crypto Code will even operate an electric strike and maglock on the same door. Offered in 3 distinct keypad models: 1.) CC-8521 (standard) 2.) CC8521AN - features a ruggedized shock mount system designed for warships. The system features heavy duty stainless steel coils to absorb impact. The enclosure is steel and there is no room for on-board backup batteries. 3.) CC8521BN - developed for the Littoral Combat Ships and their on-board system. It has an explosion resistant double walled aluminum enclosure with provisions for on-board batteries. It also can be networked to the ship's communication systems so all of the doors status' can be monitored form the ship's control room.
