CRYSTAL TYPE Amethyst LOCATION Artigas, Uruguay SIZE approximately 1-2" wide These are beautiful, grape juice purple clusters of amethyst from the deposits near Artigas, Uruguay. T his amethyst is much darker and higher quality than the typical amethyst clusters that you see on the market from Brazil. Most of these crystal clusters range from 1-2" across, though some maybe slightly larger.The pictures are representative of the clusters you will receive, but don't show the exact specimens. Quantity discounts are available. While Brazil to the north is a much more prolific producer of amethyst, the amethyst mined near Artigas, Uruguay tends to be much darker with higher quality crystals. We import our material directly from the mines in Uruguay allowing us to offer it at better retail prices than anyone else.
