A Welsh perry pear from Usk. Medium to large oval fruit, green skin half covered in russet. Blossoms mid to end of March. The name derives from the 'crystal clear' juice that this pear produces. Found in an old orchard in Llantrisant that was shown on a map dated 1780. Can make a single variety due to its good body as well as in a blend, with high acid and astringency. Show more
