Material Behaviour & Microstructure The magic of this alloy lies in the "W" (Tungsten). By integrating Tungsten into the solid solution, we alter the alloy's performance profile in three distinct ways: Solid-Solution Strengthening: Tungsten atoms, being larger and heavier, distort the crystal lattice, significantly increasing the yield strength and hardness without sacrificing too much ductility. CTE Management: The thermal expansion coefficient is tuned (typically 14.1 - 14.5 times 10-6K-1) to match widely used dental ceramics.
