The mallard duck was the proj ect we used for our beginner class for many years. A Wonder Wheel used for adding texture to the tail feathers. Woods Used: Western Red Cedar for the light, medium and dark. Aspen for the white. 3/8" Walnut dowel for the eye. Blades Used: Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar. Platinum Plus #5, Platinum #5 for the Aspen. PLP #2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).Also available as a "Classroom in a Tube" ($22.45) comes with 10 pages of detailed instructions.
