The Cube is a 3-inch square ceramic pot with a center drainage hole and a matching saucer. It was the first planter Chive brought to the Philadelphia Flower Show. Every one sold, and Chive sat at the empty table figuring out it was onto something. Glazed ceramic wipes clean and holds moisture more evenly than raw terracotta. The flat, four-sided form sits on a windowsill or desk without rolling. The center drainage hole moves water through; the saucer keeps the surface under it dry. At three inches, it suits a single succulent, a rooted cutting, or a small herb. The square sides line up in a row. Every pot Chive has made since started at that empty table.
