In 1907, industrial heir Avery Coonley founded the Cottage School on the banks of the Des Plaines River in Illinois, USA. As the school expanded, Coonley commissioned the great arc
hitect Frank Lloyd Wright to build a larger space for the students, known as the playhouse. It featured large stained glass windows, evocative of Mondrian's strict use of primary colours and geometry, and is still regarded as one of his greatest works. It is this pattern that the Frank Lloyd Wright foundation has licensed for use by Acme on the cufflinks. The design is made of cast zinc alloy with coloured enamel. The ACME logo is engraved on the back. This cufflink is packaged in an ACME pouch with the designer's bio card.©/®/TM 2016, The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. All rights reserved. Manufactured by Acme; Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
