Billet aluminum construction, anodized gloss black, and ready to install in place of your stock MAP sensor — except this one houses a RIFE 10BAR MAP transducer and a RIFE IAT thermistor. Built for competition and high-boost applications where precise inlet manifold pressure and temperature measurement are critical. Custom tuning is required after installation. Existing Hardway Performance customers receive their calibration rewrite at no additional cost with purchase. The stock MAP sensor on your 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins is rated to 50 PSIA — that's its ceiling. Our 10BAR sensor reads up to 145 PSIA, giving you 2.9 times the measurement range of stock. Once boost levels push past what the stock sensor can accurately measure, the data becomes compressed and unreliable. This sensor eliminates that ceiling, giving your tuner clean, precise data across the entire operating range. Stock vs Ours: MAP Sensor Range — Stock 50 PSIA / Ours 145 PSIA. IAT Thermistor Range — Stock 266°F / Ours 450°F. MAP Scaling — 0.5v = 0 BAR / 0 PSIA, 4.5v = 10 BAR / 145 PSIA. Consider upgrading if you are running higher-than-stock boost, running compound turbos or an aggressive single turbo setup, noticing your current MAP sensor pegging or maxing out, looking for accurate data logging and consistent tuning at high power levels, or building toward future power upgrades and want headroom now. Installation is a direct plug-in replacement — no wiring changes, no adapters, no custom fabrication required. A deep Torx T15 is required for removal and installation. On the 6.7 Cummins, the MAP sensor is located on the backside of the intake horn. On the 5.9 Cummins, it is located in the intake plenum right next to the fuel rail on the driver side of the engine bay. Important: there is a very similar looking sensor with the same connector on the passenger side of the engine mounted in the airbox tube leading to the turbo inlet — that is your barometric pressure sensor, not the MAP sensor. Do not remove it. Available in two variants: 2007.5–2024 6.7 Cummins (SKU: HW10B67) and 2003–2007 5.9 Cummins (SKU: HW10B59). Note: Hardway does not provide rescaling on deleted vehicles.
