Product Description The Curera Support Wedge is a high-resilience foam positioning aid designed to support comfortable semi-side lying positions and assist with regular repositioni ng in bed. Its tapered shape helps support the body while relieving direct pressure from sensitive areas such as the sacrum, hips, shoulders and heels. The wedge can assist users who have difficulty maintaining a side-lying position and can also help caregivers perform position changes with less physical handling. It may be positioned under the knees when the user is semi-seated to support alignment and help reduce shear forces. A liquid-resistant hygiene cover protects the foam and supports easy cleaning in home care, aged care and clinical environments. The vapour-permeable polyurethane cover can be wiped with detergent or disinfectant and is machine washable at temperatures up to 95°C. Supplied individually, the Curera Support Wedge may be used alone for general positioning. Two wedges may be recommended for certain side-positioning techniques, depending on the user’s individual care plan.
