The squirrel has discovered something unusual in the grass. The little duck looks equally curious. She has her butterfly wings, of course. But where are the squirrel's? Wild Neighbors Collection Story Wild Neighbors began with the animals just outside my door. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where deer wander through the yard, turkeys pass the studio, and the forest is shared with countless wild neighbors. They belong here as much as we do. And then there is the little rubber duck. A toy left behind after a child's afternoon of exploring, it becomes a curious visitor in their world—sometimes a hiker, a surfer, a fairy, or whatever the next adventure requires. The child may be just outside the frame, but curiosity and play remain. Respect the wild while remaining curious enough to approach it.
