The torrefaction process turns the wood a beautiful chocolate brown and the curl ca n range from tight to loose (sometimes called flame). Oil finishes will make this flame figure jump out of the surface which will draw the eye. We’ve seen some beautiful furniture and decorative objects made with Roasted Curly Birch. It’s somewhat difficult to find, so grab some while it’s in stock! In order to offer more protective packing for shipping - our lengths are often 1/4" less than sizes listed.
