The Sisu is the second collaboration between Current Designs and Danish designer Jesper Kromann-Andersen, and it hits a sweet spot that not many kayaks do. It's nimble and playful enough to thrive in rock gardens, tide races, and surf, yet composed and capable enough to handle a loaded touring trip. Compared to its predecessor the Prana, the Sisu is slightly shorter and wider, which translates to snappier handling and a more responsive feel underfoot. Developing paddlers will find it forgiving and fast to learn on, while experienced sea kayakers will appreciate how much the hull rewards precise edging and aggressive bracing.
