Experience the art of making your very own custom candle at Lanterne Lab in New York City! With a variety of vessels, scents, and personal customizations, you can pour your own luxury candle that's one of a kind and perfectly crafted. We provide all the materials, so all you have to do is enjoy the process and have fun. Also, feel free to bring your own beverages :) Note, no food is allowed in our space. Private Events: View our full private event pricing and policies. Groups of 12+ are required to book as a private event when private availability is offered for that session. Sessions available for private booking will display "Book as Private Group" on our booking page - simply select your date and number of guests. A 20% private event service fee applies, covering exclusive use of the space and a dedicated host. Once booked, you'll receive a separate invoice for the fee. Payment must be completed within 48 hours, otherwise the booking will be cancelled. For larger group or special requests, contact us here. Duration: Each experience takes about 45 minutes to an hour, plus an additional hour to cool and set. The vibrant Chinatown neighborhood is the perfect place for you to explore, grab a bite to eat, and shop local before returning to pick up your masterpiece. Don't worry if you can't return the same day—we'll hold onto your candle for 1 week or ship it to you for $12+tax per candle. Candle Refill: A NEW option for you to sustainably reuse your Lanterne Lab candle vessel! Please ensure your vessel has been cleaned prior to arrival. You will not be able to clean your vessel at our lab and will be charged a full experience for a new vessel. For how to clean your vessel, please watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aeiAS1Coes Cancellations/Late Policy: We want your candle making experience to be perfect, so we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to your booked experience (and no more than 15 minutes past your booked time). If you are running over 15 minutes late, please email [email protected] to reschedule. If you request a cancellation at least 48 hours (2 days) before the time of your experience, we'll issue you a full refund. If you do not show up or cancel within 48 hours, you can reschedule but we will not be able to issue a refund. A one time complimentary reschedule is allowed. If you miss the rescheduled time, a 30% fee will be charged for each future rescheduled date without any exceptions, including for illness or emergencies. Private events have a different cancellation policy. Age requirements: Because candlemaking includes handling hot wax and fragrance oils, children must be 13 years or older to participate. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian throughout the entire session and must purchase their own seat. Children under 13 are not permitted in the workshop space. Safety first!
