This garment will be custom-made in the USA to fit your measurements. The Ionic Chiton is patterned after the Peplos, a garment worn by ancient Greek women in 600 B.C. - A.D. 200. The garment was was pinned together. However, after an incident, laws against pinned garments were made to keep pins off the peplos, which provided weapons in the hands of mad women. Our Ionic chitons are sewn together at intervals along the sleeves, as were the ancient garments. The Ionic Chiton is often worn with a rope belt crossing over the breasts or around the waist. This garment is quite wide before tying and adjusting the rope belt. Rope belt included. This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them here in the USA to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing. This item is custom-made in the USA and may take up to 6 weeks for delivery.
