Here’s how the process works STEP 1: Design Before purchasing, please message or call us at (559) 733-4004 to discuss your ideas. The $200 design deposit secures your spot in line and covers the creation of your custom sandal design. Once the design process begins, this deposit is non-refundable. This is a true back-and-forth collaboration. After your order is placed, we’ll have a phone or text consultation where you tell me what you’re dreaming up—whether that’s portraits of your dogs, wildflowers, Disney, Harry Potter, or something entirely your own. I’ll create designs based on your themes, must-have elements, and overall vision. This step includes nearly unlimited revisions, because once we move into leatherwork, everything becomes permanent. All design communication is handled via text through our business phone to the number you provide. STEP 2: Customize & Build Once your design is finalized, you’ll select: Footbeds Buckles Paint options Leather type (including exotic leathers, if desired) Corkbeds Soles Design complexity does affect labor time. At this stage, we’ll discuss the second payment, which covers materials and labor and typically starts at $300+ depending on your choices. Once everything is approved, we begin building your sandals by hand.
