This listing is an off-shoot of my custom topographic maps. Some times you need to go bigger! It will be a tiled map consisting of 10x10 to 15x15 inch "tiles" that make up the enti re piece. There will be a slight imperfections in-between tiles so a gap is always recommended. These maps are custom made from solid pieces of wood. I choose beautiful slabs of Cherry, Maple or Walnut to help make your map as stunning as I can. Carved to match accurate elevation data of the area of your choice, these maps are custom throughout the entire process. Finished with a polyurethane based protective coating to keep it safe for years of admiration. - Please allow 8-20 weeks for the creation of your map! - Wood is a fickle beast and each piece will have variations in color and grain patterns. I also may have to glue matching wood together for your map resulting in minor grain and color differences and a miniscule glue line. Tiled maps will be made from continuous runs of the same board, so grain will match from piece to piece. Show more
