Getting a profile that's tailored to your game can make a world of difference to skating performance and, just as importantly, the way that skating feels. Blade profiling shapes the rocker of your steel, changing how much of the blade contacts the ice at any given moment. A shorter radius gives you quicker turns and sharper acceleration. A longer one gives you more glide and stability through your stride. Factory steel is a compromise. A profiled blade is built around how you actually play. We use a ProSharp AS2001 machine and grind every runner to our customer's specified profile. You pick your profile, mail your steel to us, and we'll have it ground and on its way back to you within 48 hours of receiving it. That turnaround matters if you're mid-season and can't be without your skates for a week. Our mail-in service covers the whole of the UK, so where you play doesn't limit what you can get done.
