A sublimation transfer by size lets you upload any design and specify the exact dimensions you need — rather than ordering a pre-sized transfer for a specific item. What surfaces can I use sublimation transfers on? Sublimation transfers work on any white or light coloured surface that is 100% polyester or has a sublimation coating. What is the difference between sublimation and DTF transfers? Sublimation transfers bond permanently into polyester or sublimation coated surfaces leaving no texture — ideal for mugs, tumblers, and coated hard goods. DTF transfers work on fabric in any colour including cotton and dark garments. For t-shirts, hoodies, or hats use our DTF transfers. For hard surfaces without sublimation coating use our UV DTF transfers. What file format should I upload? PNG or PDF at 300dpi gives the best results. No — sublimation ink is transparent and the colour of the blank shows through the design. It only works correctly on white or very light coloured blanks.
